Among the various materials required to manufacture our electrodes, the primary elements we consume in our process are Titanium, Iridium and Ruthenium.

Titanium

Titanium

The seventh most abundant metal on the earth's crust, it is highly resistent to corrosion, along with being the metal with the highest strength to density ratio.

Iridium

Iridium

Considered the second-densest naturally occurring metal after osmium, it is a part of the platinum group metals (PGM). Iridium is one of the nine least abundant stable elements in Earth's crust. It is the most corrosion resistant metal, not attacked by acids or aqua regia. Iridium is one of the core noble metals used in our coatings.

ruthenium

Ruthenium

The 78th most abundant element on earth's crust, making it relatively rare. It is used mainly in industrial applications. Like the other platinum group metals, Ruthenium is obtained commercially as a by-product from nickel, and copper , and platinum metals ore processing. It is the second noble metal at the core of our MMO coatings.
